Steak, Onions & Red Coconut Rice: A Dr. S Chronicle

You wanna feel good. Oh, I do too. It is icy as fuck outside and I’m low on groceries. That’s alright though. Christmas presents were not missed and i have steak, onions and rice. Lets fuck around and eat.

So… Red Coconut Rice! I lightly browned up some white rice in olive oil and added a red chili paste.

When it started smelling like popcorn, I threw in 8oz ot coconut milk and 1 cup of water. I brought it to a boil and covered it. Reduce the heat to simmer.

While that’s happening, I cut up 2 onions per steak. Today, white onions. I’m searing the meat now.

I added onions and when they got soft, I added Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar and some red wine. Just gonna cook it down.

The rice is smelling done. So I’m crumbling some gold bellavia cheese into it. The creamy accents will play nice on the meat and onions.

When your steak is done, set in on a plate and let it sit for 6 minutes. Then plate it up. Let’s fuckin eat!
